Gandeme Park, Seoul Dongdaemun-gu: Cozy Retreat for UniSeoul Students

Gandeme Park is a park located at 59 University of Seoul Avenue 2nd Street/Seoul SiripDae-ro 2-gil, Dapsimni 1-dong 471-beonji, Seoul Dongdaemun-gu. It is a place for the students of University of Seoul (UniSeoul) spending leisure times after lectures. Coincidentally, this park is located near to Cheongnyangni 588-beonji Red Light District in Jeonnong 1-dong 588-beonji in the same district.

There are some Seoulites grabbing some holiday exercise during Chuseok and Seollal at the square block in Gandeme Park. No one was using the badminton or basketball courts, but a few singles and couples were circumambulating the walking path or using the exercise equipment. The park seemed relatively new, with good playground equipment, and a couple features that would make it nicer in the warmer months: a rose arch, that for now was denuded, and an octagonal pavilion above a pond, which had been drained for the winter.
